“Soulrebel” is predominantly an instrumental album, by swedish producer and multi-instrumentalist Daniel Fridell. All songs are recorded as late night jam sessions, where Daniel plays all the instruments himself. The sound is reminiscent of music for blaxploitation movies from the 60’s/70’s, and pays homage to greats like Herbie Hancock, Curtis Mayfield and Shuggie Otis.
